Terms of Service

Last updated: September 25, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Open Soccer Trials (the "Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. The Platform is a community marketplace that connects players, coaches, scouts, organizers, and supporters for soccer trials, fundraising, and related activities.

2. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining account confidentiality and all activities under your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete information
  • Notify us of unauthorized access
  • Not impersonate others or use multiple accounts
  • Be at least 13 years old (users under 18 require parental consent)
  • Comply with all applicable laws
3. User Roles & Responsibilities

Players:

  • Provide truthful information, statistics, and highlight media
  • Respect trial organizer rules and regulations
  • Attend registered trials in good standing or cancel in advance
  • If using the "Hire Me" feature, deliver agreed-upon services upon payment

Coaches & Organizers:

  • Provide accurate trial, match, and fundraising details
  • Honor refund policies stated at registration
  • Ensure venue safety and accessibility
  • Respect player privacy and data
  • Use provided payment methods honestly and transparently
  • Verify participant receipts and confirm registrations promptly

Scouts & Clubs:

  • Provide honest, professional evaluations
  • Respect player privacy and data
  • Not contact players inappropriately outside the Platform
  • Keep private scouting notes confidential

Supporters & Donors:

  • Donate only to campaigns you have reviewed
  • Understand that donations go directly to organizers, not to the Platform
  • Verify the organizer's profile before contributing
4. Content & Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Upload illegal, fraudulent, or harmful content
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Spam or send unsolicited messages
  • Post discriminatory or offensive content
  • Attempt to hack or disrupt the Platform
  • Violate intellectual property rights
  • Engage in fraud, scams, or financial manipulation
  • Create fake profiles or impersonate clubs, scouts, or organizations
  • Post false or misleading trial, match, or fundraising listings
  • Misuse the "Hire Me" feature or accept payment without delivering services

Violations may result in account suspension, fraud flagging, or permanent termination. The Platform reserves the right to remove any content or listing at its discretion.

5. Trials, Matches & Events

All trials, matches, and events listed on the Platform are created and managed by registered members, not by Open Soccer Trials. The Platform does not organize, endorse, or guarantee any event. Each listing displays the organizer's name linked to their profile so you can verify their identity.

Creating trials, matches, and events requires an active subscription (Pro, Scout, or Partnership plan). Platform administrators are exempt from this requirement. The Platform reserves the right to review, approve, or remove any listing.

Disclaimer: Open Soccer Trials is not liable for the accuracy, safety, or outcome of member-organized listings. Please verify all details and contact the organizer directly via in-app messaging before participating.

6. Fundraising & Donations

Fundraising campaigns are member-submitted projects for equipment, kit, travel, facilities, coaching, technology, or youth development. Donations go directly from the donor to the organizer using the payment methods the organizer has listed (bank transfer, CashApp, Zelle, Opay, PayPal, or other).

Open Soccer Trials does not hold, process, or escrow funds. The Platform verifies uploaded receipts to display campaign progress but does not guarantee that funds reach their stated purpose. Donors should review the organizer's profile and campaign details before contributing.

The 3x donation match is provided by our partners and applies to eligible campaigns. Match eligibility and multiplier are determined at the Platform's discretion and may change.

Donation refunds are at the sole discretion of the organizer. The Platform does not mediate donation disputes but may flag organizers for fraud if verified by our admin team.

7. "Hire Me" Feature

Players may enable the "Hire Me" feature on their profile to offer services for matches, welfare appearances, or training sessions at a fee they set. Interested parties contact the player through in-app messaging and pay the player directly using the player's listed payment methods.

Open Soccer Trials is not a party to any Hire Me agreement. The Platform does not process payments, guarantee service delivery, or mediate disputes. Players are responsible for delivering agreed-upon services upon receiving payment. Misuse of the feature (accepting payment without delivering, or false advertising) may result in account suspension.

8. GrassRoots World Cup

The GrassRoots World Cup is a community tournament managed through the Platform. Registration as a player, coach, sponsor, or supporter requires an active subscription (admins are exempt). Team owners are responsible for managing their squad, approving registrations, and ensuring fair play.

Sponsorship contributions go directly to the team or organizer using their listed payment methods. The Platform does not organize or guarantee tournament outcomes, match scheduling, or prize distribution. Tournament rules and structure are set by the Platform and may change.

9. Payments & Subscriptions

Direct Payments: All payments for trials, fundraising, Hire Me bookings, and other member-to-member transactions go directly between users via the payment methods they provide. Open Soccer Trials does not hold, process, or escrow any funds. We do not store your card or bank details.

Subscriptions: Subscription plans (Pro, Scout, Partnership) are paid by manual bank transfer or approved payment methods. You upload a receipt to confirm payment; your subscription activates once our admin team verifies it. Subscriptions are manual — there are no automatic renewals. You can cancel anytime from your Dashboard.

Refunds: Trial registration refunds are determined by the organizer — check the event details before registering. Subscription refunds are available within 7 days of activation by contacting support. Donation and Hire Me refunds are at the organizer's or player's discretion.

Receipt Verification: The Platform verifies uploaded payment receipts to activate subscriptions and confirm registrations. Falsifying receipts is fraud and will result in immediate account termination.

10. Fraud, Abuse & Reporting

The Platform provides reporting tools for all users. You can report fraud, abuse, spam, harassment, fake profiles, or inappropriate content using the flag icon on any profile, post, or listing. Our admin team reviews reports and takes action, which may include:

  • Account flagging for verified fraud or abuse
  • Content or listing removal
  • Account suspension or permanent termination
  • Reporting to authorities where required by law

False or malicious reports may result in restrictions on the reporter's account. The Platform reserves the right to take action against any account that violates these Terms or compromises community safety.

11. Intellectual Property

All Platform content (designs, logos, code) is owned by Open Soccer Trials or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute without permission. You retain rights to content you upload (photos, videos, comments, listings). By uploading content, you grant the Platform a license to display it within the Platform's features.

12. Liability Disclaimer

The Platform is provided "as-is" without warranties. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted service or error-free operation
  • Accuracy of user-submitted information or listings
  • Safety, quality, or integrity of trials, matches, or events
  • That funds donated or paid will reach their stated purpose
  • That scouts, coaches, or organizers will fulfill their commitments
  • That players will be signed or recruited through the Platform

Open Soccer Trials is a connection platform, not a party to any transaction between users. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to the Platform (e.g., subscription fees).

13. Risk Assumption

Players assume all risks associated with trial and match participation, including injury. Coaches and organizers are responsible for safety, insurance, and venue compliance. Participants should obtain their own insurance if available. The Platform does not provide insurance coverage for any event.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or illegal conduct. You may delete your account anytime through your Dashboard. Upon termination, your access is revoked, but Platform use data and records of fraud reports may be retained for safety and legal purposes.

15. Dispute Resolution

For disputes:

  1. Contact us via our Contact page or email support@opensoccertrials.com
  2. We will attempt to resolve within 30 days
  3. If unresolved, disputes are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Platform operates
  4. You agree to binding arbitration (no class actions)
16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Major changes will be communicated via email or Platform notification. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
